“Glee” News

Some new articles about Glee have popped up on the internet. The below article confirms that Glee starts airing on FOX this March.
“People may want escapism in tough financial times,” Ryan Murphy said in Los Angeles this month. The creator of “Glee,” a strange hybrid — musical dramedy soap — coming in March to Fox, Murphy is best known for “Nip/Tuck,” an unfailingly dark hour not for the fainthearted.
In “Glee,” he pits nerdy high-school drama club members against the popular cheerleaders, complete with a weekly musical production number. Cast with Broadway talents Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele, and written for all ages, “Glee” might be an appealing dose of uplift.
The next article is mostly about Jayma Mays, but the article gives a couple new details about the show. Check it:
After years of small parts in big projects, actress Jayma Mays is finally beginning to break out.
AccessHollywood.com’s newest Rising Star, who turns 30 this year, has lined up a starring role in the upcoming FOX series, “Glee,” a one-hour comedy from “Nip/Tuck” creator Ryan Murphy.
The show, which is expected to debut next month, will focus on Will, played by Matthew Morrison, a high school Spanish teacher in Ohio, who is given the duty of looking after the glee club. Jayma will play his love interest, guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury.
“We’ve only shot the pilot,” Jayma recently told Access Hollywood of the show’s progress so far. “But… I’m really proud to be a part of it.”
I’m not sure if this interview was done a little while back and is just now being posted, or what, but I would think they’d have more than the pilot shot by now, especially since it starts airing in March.
